Why I Wear Black on Sundays

I'm donned in black. Black dress, black pearls and black pumps. I look like I'm going to a funeral, but I'm not. You may ask if I know what black represents, and I do. Black depicts the absence of light. No light enters and no light can leave. Black absorbs all. Black is associated with fear because the "known" is not visible. It turns quickly into the unknown and grooms fear.
But I wear black to represent what I DO in the absence of light. But I wear black to represent what I DO in the presence of the unknown. But I wear black to represent what I DO when all the strength/will I have is absorbed out of my very being. I am still, unmoving, in the blackness. For God is coming for me in the midst of this darkness. He is my ever-present help. So, it's best if I just be still and wait on the Lord. (Psalms 37:7)
