Too much liquids...not enough sense....

Picture
As any parent knows, whenever you receive a phone call from your child's school in the middle of the day, you KNOW it's not good. So today I received the most dreaded phone call from Aiden's school. Aiden is sick and threw up several times. I need to come and pick him up. I told the teacher that I am on my way. While driving to rescue Aiden from his public illness, I attempt to recall any symptoms of illness he might have displayed earlier that. I think to myself, "He did have a cough, but it wasn't bad...." "Maybe he got something Elliott? Elliott WAS sick the other night." I seriously cannot think of anything that might have caused him to feel ill.
Nevertheless, I get to the school to check Aiden out. When he gets in the car, I asked him what happened. Here is his statement.

Aiden: Well, a student had wasted chocolate milk in the trash can and made it leak everywhere. So Mrs. Carter said that everyone had to drink all of their milk. So I drank all of mine and I got sick. I threw up 3 times.
Me: Aiden, you only had one chocolate milk with your lunch. (I know because he takes his lunch to school.)
Aiden: I know. But I got an extra chocolate milk and a juice.
Me: Why?
Aiden: I wanted more to drink.
Me: So you drank it all?
Aiden: Yea, Mrs. Carter said we had to.
Me: I think Mrs. Carter would have been okay with you not drinking them all Aiden.
Aiden: Well, I know. I can't drink too much milk anymore. Especially not with juice.
Me: ....Lesson learned....
